Nairobi [7th November]: Fifty life-size lion sculptures were auctioned off to the highest bidder yesterday, in what can only be described as a spectacular celebration of Kenya’s magnificent wildlife heritage.

Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon
The 50 Pride of Kenya lions will this year ‘participate’ in the annual Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon scheduled to take place on Sunday 25th October 2009.
The event vision is ‘Seeing is Believing ’and is geared to raising funds for helping

The lions are hitting the streets!
The first lion is out on the streets, as of Sunday 16th August. This is the Nation lion which has been placed on Banda Street which is right across from the Nation Centre building.

Kenya Airways receives their lion sculpture
Kenya Airways recieves their lion from the Born Free Foundation team at the airport. As their artist is in Britain the lion sculpture got a VIP treatment as it was flown there from the JKIA.
